Saturday Coffee & Dish – January 2017

Happy 2017!

We’ve made it through the first week of January. I saw a meme the other day that said we need a day between December 31 and January 1 and I completely agree. I wanted to enjoy all of the fun of 2016, but also be prepared for 2017. Anyways, lets get  down to the first Coffee & Dish for 2017.

{ONE}

It’s been a great first year for Sam’s Dish. I shared 71 recipes with you! I have lots more delicious things planned for this year. Keep up with the new posts by following me on social media.

I thought my word of the year was going to be Simple, but after thinking about it a little bit more, a more accurate word for how I want to live in 2017 is Intentional. I want to be intentional about my blogging schedule. Intentional in spending time with my husband and in how I spend my free time.

Sam's Dish 2016 Favorites

Earlier this week I shared my favorite recipes from 2016. Head over to the post and leave me a comment with your favorite recipe of 2016!

{FOUR}

We woke up to our first actual snow of the season yesterday with more coming down today! A nice blanket of snow is the perfect backdrop for a Saturday full of baking and blogging.

{FIVE}

I got this shower curtain for Christmas (I’ve been looking at it for a couple months and was excited to get it from the hubby for Christmas)! We only have 1 bathroom in our apartment, so I’m excited to redecorate it a little.

{SIX}

I ordered a photo calendar for our kitchen with photos of our California vacation last summer. I love looking at it every day! They have a couple different sizes and you can almost always find a promo code.

{SEVEN}

We spent the week between Christmas and New Year’s with my family. It was good to get away from home and spend time with them. We ate too much, stayed up way too late playing games and talking, and overall had a great time.

{EIGHT}

Can we talk about jeans for a second? I’ve stayed away from Old Navy jeans for a couple years now in favor of more grown up styles (I’ve gotten some ones at Loft that I love). But over Christmas break my sisters introduced me to the Mid-rise Rock Star jeggings. More structure and coverage than a legging, but still the same comfort. I’m in love.

coffee

Hubby got me this mug for Christmas.

coloring book

I have joined the coloring book craze. I got this one at a work gift exchange in December and have really enjoyed it!

Thanks for stopping by and reading all of that. I am excited about the new recipes I get to share with you this year.

Enjoy your weekend!

Sam
