• Crunchwrap Supreme

Today we are talking about a homemade version of a fast food favorite, the Taco Bell Crunchwrap.     Now I think I should start with a confession… I’ve never actually had a “real” crunchwrap. I know, I know. But I have had this homemade version several times and it is delicious!     There are no fancy ingredients here today. Just a flour tortilla layered with ground beef taco meat, which you could definitely sub with ground turkey if you wanted it to be a little lighter, and next comes a layer of shredded cheese, sour cream, AND if you’re feeling adventurous queso. Then comes the magical crunchy layer,…

  • Toffee Bars

Hi Friends! Do I have a sweet recipe for you today. These Toffee Bars were one of the first recipes I made for Mr. Sam back when we were dating. Aww. That was about 8 years ago. Wow! Back when I used to routinely read cookbooks, with actual PAPER pages, to find new recipes. I love Pinterest and blogs (hello, you’re reading mine right now. Thank you!) But there is something about cooking from a traditional cookbook. Today’s recipe comes from my classic Betty Crocker cookbook.     When I first found this recipe, I made them all the time. I remember once as soon as I put them in the…

  • Coffee & Dish #19

Happy Friday! I’m so glad you stopped by today! I always wonder when I write non-recipe posts if you enjoy reading them as much as I enjoy putting them together. I’ve been working on a few projects for the blog and I’m excited to finally share one with you, it’s #1 on the list.   1. All of my recipes now have a print option – making it even easier for you to try them! 2. I tested a new taco recipe this week and I made these homemade tortillas to serve with them! I prepped the tortillas the night before and chilled them in the fridge overnight. Then when it was…

  • Easy Lasagna Casserole

I don’t know about you, but I love…LOVE lasagna. And my least favorite part is definitely the time-consuming layering. While today’s recipe isn’t your traditional lasagna (no layering needed) it deserves a place at your dinner table. And let’s just look past the fact that I just professed my love for a cheesy pasta dish. Don’t worry, Mr. Sam, I still think you’re cute and I’ll share my lasagna with you!     When I was growing up my mom found this recipe in a Taste of Home magazine and this casserole found its way to our dinner table often. While the original recipe called for jarred marinara sauce, I…

  • Caramel Pretzel Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

How cute are these Itty Bitty Mini Pretzels?! When I saw them at the grocery store I knew they were coming home with me. Lol. (They remind me of the pretzels they serve on airplanes). I found them at my local Wegmans grocery store, but it looks like Target and Amazon carry them too!     So after getting these pretzels home I then had to decide what recipe to use them in. Of course, my mind went immediately to putting them in cookies with chocolate and caramel. I knew I needed a hearty cookie to not be overwhelmed by the pretzels, so I went right to these longtime favorites…
