Is it finally spring here in Columbus? That’s the question I’ve been asking myself all week. Even if it is false spring, I’m enjoying the sunshine and warmer weather when it is here!
How old are your pots and pans? Earlier this year I realized that I’ve been using the same pots and pans that I got for my wedding in 2011 and they were showing lots of signs of wear. I decided to skip buying a new set of cookware that would most likely include pieces that I didn’t actually need and decided to go with a few individual pans in sizes that I knew I would use on a regular basis. Bonus – my cabinet where I store them has a little more breathing room now!
New Recipes
Pesto Chicken and Avocado Bacon Salad Wraps – so many flavors here! I used store-bought dressings/sauces and it was still delicious.
Creamy, Lemony Chicken and Potato Soup – the brightness from the lemon gives this soup the best flavor!
Southern Cheese Grits – When I am tired of my usual carb sides, I pull this one out.

Favorite Recipes
Chocolate Chip Cookie Cake – is a favorite and what I used to make my super bowl cake! Instead of using a 9-inch pan I split the dough between 3 6-inch pans and used this Marshmallow buttercream and sprinkles!
