Salted Caramel Sauce
This Salted Caramel Sauce is absolutely perfect over ice cream.

Ingredients

tablespoons
unsalted butter
1/2
cup
brown sugar
packed
1/4
cup
heavy cream
1/4
teaspoon
sea salt
Dash of vanilla

Instructions
In a small saucepan over medium-high heat, whisk together butter, brown sugar, heavy whipping cream, and salt.
Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes, whisking frequently.
Remove from heat and whisk in vanilla. Pour caramel into a heatproof jar. Allow it to cool a few minutes before serving.
Notes
While simmering, make sure you turn the temperature low enough that you have a simmer and not a boil.
