In a shallow bowl whisk together eggs, milk, cinnamon, vanilla, and sugar until combined. Dip bread in egg mixture and cook in the skillet, approximately 2-3 minutes per side.
Serve topped with syrup, fresh berries or powdered sugar.
Notes
Since the bread is soaked in an egg mixture, this recipe is a great way to use up stale bread. In the pictures, I used a french loaf, but the bakery at our local grocery store has a great homestyle loaf that I typically have on hand.
